We recently returned from 2 weeks in Costa Rica on our wonderful trip arranged by Henry. This was our first trip to Costa Rica, so we wanted to get a general sense of the country. We started in Puerto Viejo. Had a great nature tour in the Gandoca-Manzanillo rainforest. Moved up to Henry's bungalows for a few days! What a beautiful countryside! We enjoyed the tour of Henry's family farm, the plants, yummy fruits and the birds and animals we saw there. It was a very beautiful and peaceful place and the bungalows and pool are perfect! Food is awesome too. We enjoyed Henry, Michelle and Kenya's company very much! It was a treat to be in a rural setting with a Costa Rican family. We learned so much, and I could get answers for all of my million questions :) Enjoyed natural hot springs, a river boat trip and La Paz gardens. Traveled up to Monteverde Cloud Forest and hiked around Arenal volcano on the way. Enjoyed the nature tours, zip lining, suspension bridges, and all the birds and animals. We saw and learned so much on the nature tours, both day and night. Got to see the famous quetzal at Curichanca Cloud Forest Reserve! Don't miss out...go with a guide! We ventured on to our last stop Manuel Antonio. We visited and hiked the national park, and had some relaxing beach time and enjoying the plants and animals of the rainforest. The time flew by! We were very happy to have stayed in smaller hotels, and eating in local sodas and restaurants, etc. versus the all-inclusive resorts. The drivers, Cesar, Harlan and Henry were wonderful and knowledgeable. We felt as though we got to peek into the "real" Costa Rica...not an "Americanized" version or tourist traps. We look forward to returning some day and will definitely use AAA Tours again to set up our trip for us. All the people we encountered were friendly and helpful! We would highly recommend using Henry and AAA tours for your trip! We have life long memories to cherish!
Thank you again!! Pura Vida!!

Our family of five, my husband and I and our three daughters ages 15,18 and 20 had a fabulous time in Costa Rica! We especially enjoyed being the first guests in Henry and Michelle's tropical bungalows! They were wonderful hosts and provided delicious food next to their beautiful new pool.Henry did a great job setting up zip-lining and white water rafting, as well as a volcano hike and waterfall garden visit. The transportation by Cesar and Henry went very smoothly. We look forward to returning to explore other areas of Costa Rica with Henry!

We truly enjoyed every bit of the wonderful vacation Henry arranged for our first visit to Costa Rica, when we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Henry worked patiently with us. The 9-day Carribean Coast itinerary he designed was precisely what we wanted -- surroundings of natural beauty and wild habitat, options for good food, and comfortable accomodations. The beaches of the Carribean Coast are truly beautiful! From our midnight landing in San Jose airport, to our activity-filled 3-day stay at Pachira Lodge (Tortuguero NP), to 4-days of relaxing and sightseeing the southern coast at the laid-back town of Puerto Viejo de Salamanca, with its own fine beaches, as well as Casuita NP (excellent snorkeling with Fernando at the reef just off-shore) and the more remote and truly gorgeous Manzanillo NP nearby ... and our own excellent accomodations and breakfasts at Caribe Blue. Our return from paradise was tempered with an aerial tram ride in the mountain forest in Braulio Carillo NP and very pleasant stay in the Alejuela hills at Buena Vista and a day trip to Volcan Poas and the Waterfall Garden. Most important, we were well taken care of by our excellent driver, Cesar, who was always in good humor and on the look out for sights and experiences that might interest us. We can't wait to see what Henry has in store for us on our next visit to Costa Rica! Pura Vida!

Hello to all, there was a total of 6 in my group, this was my second time to Costa Rica, but everyone else's first trip there. We stayed a total of 2 weeks and had the best time ever. Henry & Michelle Campos was our tour guide for most of our time there, they were extreamly helpful as well as knowledgeable about what we wanted to do, where to eat, etc... Althought I choose for the most part the hotel to stay at and places to eat as well as tours, the Campos' where the one who gave me the salection of recommended places to stay etc... They were great choices. All in all I am very picky with what I want and where I sleep and they did a grea t job, for sure I would recommend them, in fact I already sent a group down there to them and I'm working on sending more to them in the near future, they are great people and have one of the most adorable well behaved daughters, I just love her. I really can't say enough positive thing about the company, they really are good people, and I look forward to touring with them again if I find my way back to Costa Rica.

Hello,

My girlfriend and I visited Costa Rica for thirteen days about a month ago and had a very positive experience throughout the country. It is safe, beautiful and filled with delightfully helpful people. I confess that I have a hard time trusting people I have not personally met and dislike tourist traps; this is because I crave the real, authentic foreign adventure, unadulterated for tourist comforts and soak in the local flavor. This is where Henry comes in. He was very trustworthy from the start, accommodating and kind he picked us up from the airport at 6am (he was still smiling while holding a custom message I requested even though he must have woken up at 3am). We had agreed to make a few stops before he took us to our hotel in Arenal, it was to be a total of five hours (or it was supposed to be anyway). He took us on a breathtaking ten hour adventure (I kept asking for more) showing us: waterfalls, all sorts of animals, took us into a local free hot spring river (simply breathtaking- you have to see this), coffee plantation visit, local food… I mean, talk about a bona fide Costa Rican adventure, all in the same day we landed! The day could not have been any better.

The first day was so awesome that, the very next day we met up with Henry again, this time with Michelle and Kenya (his wife and little girl-who is a little “guide in training”). We went around Arenal exploring the hanging bridges, driving down to the La Fortuna Waterfall, ate an organic lunch that was freshly harvested in front of us while we toured the most green-minded gardens we have ever visited and topped the day off with a relaxing visit to a local hot spring and ate dinner under a gazebo while it was pouring.

I should have prefaced this comment by saying that we made the mistake of not booking everything through Henry. We thought it was just going to be a transport and it turned into a two day local venture. Henry quickly picked up on our wants and dislikes and started to recommend activates and things to see throughout the country. He has a network of people he knows and has tried a variety of companies for all the tours he recommends, so he, personally, knows what he is talking about, which was much appreciated.
So the too long did not read of this comment is that if you are going to CR definitely talk to Henry. He has reasonable prices and above all he will make sure you have a fantastic stay while you are in Costa Rica.

Thank you for all your help Henry! Hope to visit CR again soon and stay with you next time we come!

Cheers,

Cem

I have just returned home after an amazing week spent in Costa Rica. This was my first trip travelling by myself, so it took me some time to actually pluck up the courage to decide to book it. Henry and Michelle were so encouraging and supportive with every question I had for them. They organised the itinerary for me, hotels and all the tours, so all I needed to do was look forward to my vacation!
I arrived at San Jose and they were both there to greet me and take me to the first hotel. The three hour car journey was amazing I saw some beautiful sights and learnt so much from them both about Costa Rica.
I also had the pleasure of their company on the second day for the hike up Arenal volcano and a visit to the hot springs. Again I learnt so much and got to see lots of wildlife with some awesome views.
The remainder of the trip went by way too fast, the horseback riding, white river rafting, bird watching and ziplining tours were out of this world, and would recommend them all apart from the 'Superman" ziplining which was the scariest thing i've ever done!
Michelle and Henry are the kindest people you could ever meet, they were always checking in with me during my stay to make sure all was well. I cant thank them enough for making my vacation so wonderful.
I'll be back one day very soon!

We would like to thank AAA Tours and Michelle and Henry Campos for such a wonderful trip! This was my first time traveling outside the US and I never felt nervous or worried. They took care of every detail and offered us many options for activities or meals. Although we were on a very limited budget we never felt that we missed out on anything. Our goal is to return in the future and enjoy even more of the beauty this country has to offer. I highly recommend AAA Tours for your worry free trip to Costa Rica!! Oh and we truly enjoyed having a driver/tour guide for the entire time Wilbur is a wonderful person and a great asset to your business! Thanks again!! PURA VIDA!!

We started to plan a trip to Costa Rica (short-dated, only 3 weeks prior to departure) and by chance found AAA Tours, what an excellent decision! Henry and Michelle did a great job in organizing, planning and confirming a personalized package fitting our needs. Our tour was absolutely perfect with so many Costa Rican highlights. We were treated like family all the time. They showed us hidden treasures, gaves us insider tips about restaurants and places to visit. We felt safe all the time and it was an all-round carefree package! We could relax and enjoy every day, travelling around with a private car and driver turned out to be absolutely comfortable and not at all more expensive than bus tours. We very much appreciated Henry and Michelle as personal guides in the Arenal Area, hiking and exploring the beautiful scenery and having great fun together. Also we learned a lot about wildlife, biodiversity and way of life in Costa Rica. You arrive as a tourist and you leave as a friend. We can highly recommend AAA travel and the outstanding and reliable service of Henry and Michelle. Thank you once more. PURA VIDA!

We keep wonderful memories of Costa Rica and hope to have the opportunity to be back one day...

This message to assure all those somewhat doubtful of touring with AAA Costa Rica. Have no fear. I have traveled with Henry and Michelle Campos for several years, and have yet to be disappointed. They are a family run operation, but this in no way distracts from the professionalism and overall quality of services they provide. They will work with your budget - no matter what you can afford; from 3-star to 5-star accommodations. We love the private touring and thus, will never see Costa Rica without hiring them. Henry is a local, so that's a PLUS who speaks excellent English. Michelle is American, so there is no language barrier there (LOL). They both go above and beyond to make everything comfortable. We especially enjoy breaking up our touring by spending a few days at their B&B. There, we get home cooked meals and enjoy the peace and quite of living like a real Costa Rican. We often spend timing traversing their 5 acres photographing birds and the abundance of flora. I assure you, you will not regret traveling with AAA Costa Rica Tours.
